Today Steve and I managed to add another 20 bikes to the first day's collection by picking up

9 kids bikes
4 mountain bikes
3 ladies bikes
2 vintage/classic bikes
2 road bikes

and a couple sets of wheels and pedals...

1/4 of the way there already!

what an amazing first day!

Andrew and I spent today in a cube van and Gord in his pickup, speeding around the valley visiting as many of the pioneering good folks who responded so quickly to the call and gathering up their donated bikes as we could fit.

By the end of an inspiring day we now have;

17 mountain bikes
17 kids bikes
14 ladies bikes
12 mens road bikes
9 sets of wheels
8 frames
7 classic/vintage bikes, including a 1949 Humber bicycle
4 helmets
1 tricycle

plus loads of tires/saddles/pedals/fenders etc

With those and Andrew's original 4 there's now only another 300 or so and the first container will be ready to go...

Thanks so much to all the generous souls we met, who are trusting us to give their treasured bicycles a new lease of life.
